yQThee Queen is Mean Vol. I so says Fredthebear
Compiled by fredthebear
--*--

When the great Paul Morphy was not checkmating the opposing king, he was often gunning down the queen; royalty was his constant target. That fellow could hunt!

These games are queen traps or queen zaps, smothered mates and other Q sacrifices, Q vs. Q, perpetual checks, etc. One queen or the other gives it or gets it.

The shorter games at the top of each ECO code tend to be where the Queen has collected the scalp of a mouse pilfering cheese. As the games get longer, there is more variety.
