ANALYSIS [x]
Notes by Dr. TarraschIt is noteworthy that Lasker usually declines the Evans? Gambit, although he has declared that he knows a winning defence. Ne7 seems preferable.Instead of developing, White makes premature attempts at attack, which finally only facilitate and hasten the development of his opponent.Nxe4 would be bad on account of 11 Qa4 Nc5 12 axb7.Bxf2+ was threatened.Black is so far advanced in development that he can at once begin the attack. All of White?s Pieces are in bad positions, with the exception of the King?s Knight f3. White?s game is thus no longer capable even of defence. With this and the mistake immediately following the Bishop gets also exposed. It would have been better to interrupt the file of the adverse Queen?s Bishop with Ng5 and e4.He may well despair. After Be3, Qg4 wins.0-1

Sep-24-05  aw1988: Certainly no positive notes for this (and yes, terrible) game.
Jul-11-06  zb2cr: Obviously, if 19. Qxc3, Bxf3. White's B at g5 is then hanging, costing him a Pawn.

And if 22. Bd7, with the idea of Bh3, Black can finish up with 22. ... Nf4; 23. h4, Nce2+; 24. Kh2, Qxh4+; 25. Bh3, Bxg2; 26. Nxg2, Qxh3#.

And if Kh1 (gxf3 Qxf3 is crushing)

There is the beautiful Qxf3 anyway:

and if gxf3 then Bxf3 MATE:

Lovely stuff!

Fundamentally there are a lot of black pieces pointed at the White king after the opening here. And "Knife-f5" or "Knife-f4" expression seems relevant :)
