Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-11-07  ChesterTheJester: Oops! Bad luck.
Jan-11-07  notyetagm: 18 ... ♘h5?? 19 ♘e4! traps the Black d6-queen which has <NO RETREAT>(!) due to the Black c7-rook, d7-knight, and e7-pawn <SELF-BLOCKING> critical flight squares and paths.

17 ... ♖c7?! was the culprit, taking away the Black d6-queen's one path of retreat (b8-h2 diagonal). After 17 ... ♖c7?! the Black queen had <NO RETREAT> and was in serious danger of being trapped, which the blunder 18 ... ♘h5?? allowed.

Jan-11-07  Shams: not sure what ...Nh5 was about anyway. Doubling rooks looks more natural.
Jan-11-07  jumperino: Nh5 was played to prevent white from playing Bf4 which would have resulted in the loss of at least a pawn. Guess that would have been better than losing the queen though!
Mar-01-10  Kazzak: There's a touch of Karma here, as black declines the draw from repetition with her rook move.

Well, Snowden simply has no other recourse than to take the queen, then.

I think Nh5 was an attempt at deflecting the attention of Snowden, hoping she hadn't seen the queen-trap. She had.
