Feb-17-04  d4Nf6Bg5: what a nice trap
Mar-14-04  aragorn69: The Krejcik queen trap !!!
Mar-14-04  Giancarlo: <aragorn69>
You love this trap don't you?
Apr-26-04  Vischer: wait a minute! 7...Qxh2 ! ! ! ! anyone see anything for white against that?
Apr-26-04  Bears092: Nf3+
Jul-10-04  chessprincess: I want to know if I can play against taticsjokerxxx.
Aug-16-04  F47: I think 8. Ng6+ is better. Checkmating your opponent is better than taking the queen.
Aug-26-04  F47: the Ng6 won't work, forget what I said.
Jan-26-05  yoozum: The trap is obscure b/c nobody responds with Bc5. It was nice back in the day, though.

  tpstar: Best play is 7 ... Qxc1 8. Nd3+ or 7 ... Qxg2+ 8. Kxg2 and White wins Queen for Rook.

omg the things people play online ...

tpstar0-3115 (ChessAnyTime 4/26/05): 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Bc5?! 3. Nxe5 Qf6 4. d4 Bb4+ 5. c3 Bd6 6. f4 Qh4+?! 7. g3 Qd8 8. Bc4 Bf8? 9. Bxf7+ and White won (1-0).

tpstar: tpstar-dannydandan (FICS 9/13/05): Is it alive, does it writhe (1. e4), can it survive under the sun? (1 ... e5)/ICPMFOI/Is it green, is it red (2. Nf3), is it alive or is it dead? (2 ... Bc5!?)/ICPMFOI/Scathe with a lathe (3. Nxe5), all the days in the past (3 ... Bxf2+?!)/ICPMFOI/Is it brown, is it white (4. Kxf2), is it really outta sight? (4 ... Qh4+)/ICPMFOI/Can it squeal, does it squirm (5. g3), if it's fresh will it burn? (5 ... Qxe4)/ICPMFOI/Can it fly, will it try (6. Qe2), if the wings are still wet? (6 ... Qxh1?)/ICPMFOI/Can it heal, is it real (7. Bg2), can it feel the threads of time? (7 ... Qxh2?)/ICPMFOI/Does it glow (8. Ng4+), will it shine (8 ... Ne7), does it leave a trail of slime? (9. Nxh2 & 1-0)/ICPMFOI - Ween, "I Can't Put My Finger On It"

Are you surprised when I touch the dwarf inside?!

Huh huh, uh huh huh

Apr-17-07  zb2cr: Hmmm. Following up on <tpstar>'s suggestion of 7. ... Qxc1, the tempting 8. Ng6+, Kd8 ( 8. ... Ne7; 9. Qxe7#); 9. Nxh8 (with the idea of 10. Nxf7#) is easily refuted by 9. ... Nh6.

FSR: Ha, great trap! I guess I've never seen it before since no one plays 2...Bxc5 and 3...Bxf2+.
Jan-22-08  jovack: Black's next course of action: Queen takes bishop, knight blocks king, then advance the d pawn and castle black's game is fine
it will be tricky and he will need to unleash his rooks on white's open king, but it was a premature resign.. a total noob, if he didnt want to lose his queen he should have never sent her on a commando mission.
Jan-26-09  DoubleCheck: White threatens both bishop take queen and also Knight-g6 check winning back the rook

Excellent opening trap, although its very unlikely you see Bxf2+(Bxf7+) in OTB in first 10 moves

Mar-12-09  WhiteRook48: 7...Qxg2+ 8 Kxg2 and white has Q for an R and B

  Eggman: <<7...Qxg2+ 8.Kxg2 and white has Q for an R and B>>

Nope. It's Q for R. Don't forget the piece Black sacrificed on move 3.

Oct-09-10  carwashguy: <Vischer>, this is pretty late, but I didn't see any responses. 7... Qxh2 and 7... Qxc1 both lose the queen because of the discovered check using white's knight on e5. Cool, huh?
