Aside from some grey area about inflating the offered values of mar a Lago, it being a club, not a residence, it just seems the TO has no defenses for the accusations. Eric Trump was in it up to his eyeballs. The area in question seems to be 1) how much of this will fall on Donald trump and 2) on appeal to a panel of judges will the Trump's get significant relief? Donald Trump will testify "it was ALL weisselberg and the accountants! They just told me what papers to sign." If successful that could shift damages from the Trump's to the little guys. Pretty weak strategy, IMO. |
