Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-24-09  Vasilyev90: First!Russian chess added another feather into its cap courtesy of GM Bator Sambuev for winning this 2009 edition of Canadian open ahead of strong players like Nakamura,Shabalov, etc.Congratulations GM Sambuev!
Apr-24-09  Vasilyev90: Here's the link:http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail...
Apr-24-09  benjinathan: If I knew it would get on chessgames I would have entered!
Apr-24-09  timhortons: Cheers GM Sambuev for winning this tourney.

BTW is GM Sambuev a Canadian immigrant now? It seems year by year he play in Canadian tourney.

This guy get along well with Canadian chess federation.

Apr-24-09  HSOL: I find really weird to have 5 rounds in a tourney with more than 64 participants considering it would require 7 rounds to have a maximum of one player having a perfect score.
Apr-25-09  Raisin Death Ray: Why is Chessgames.com only posting this after it is over?

Also, why would anyone ever spend any time in Toronto, even for a chess tournament! :)

Apr-25-09  mrandersson: wow Vasilyev90 ur 1st thats really something your badge is in the post.
Apr-26-09  chessnutx: Nakamura,Shabalov and several other international players seemed to like playing in Toronto Raisin Death Ray. And what's the big deal if chessgames.com is a week late in posting. That's a lot of games.
