SHIYAM THAVANDIRAN
(born May-25-1992, 33 years old) Canada

[what is this?]

He won the 2005 and 2010 Canadian Junior Championships. He won an IM norm(1) at the World Junior Championship (2012) and finished with 6/13. In 2015, he tied for share of 1st-2nd with Maxim Dlugy at the Ontario open in Brantford.

He became an IM in 2017 and previously was a FIDE Master (since 2006) who once played for Western University but later signed on to the Toronto Dragons(2) team, which included Nikolay Noritsyn, Gergely Szabo, Kaiqi Yang, Arthur Calugar, Michael Song, Raja Panjwani, Razvan Preotu along with free-agents Bator Sambuev and Thomas Roussel-Roozmon (they do not live close enough to Toronto's suburban area) for play after 2016.
