Jan-08-21  WinKing: Hi <jingohanson>. They are slow around here sometimes. You might want to try posting that same message with that Bookie face in the Member Support Forum. When I was Bookie that usually worked. That lets em' know your serious. That way they can't say they didn't see it. ;)

Jan-16-21  Diademas: Let's apply the same strategy as on the Member Support Forum chessgames.com chessforum (kibitz #34905)

TATA STEEL!

Feb-07-21  mike1: is our beloved game dead?
Feb-11-21  morfishine: <mike1> Yes, budgetary constraints forced them to choose between axing the bookie game or the worn-out GOTD

They made the wrong decision and axed the bookie game thus leaving the pathetic GOTD in place

Check It Out: Some reddit flim-flammery has caused a run on <chessbucks>, a digital form of currency used in the chessbookie game, causing the price of chessbucks so soar. <CG> had to put a halt to all chessbucks purchases, causing an uproar in the markets. As a result the value of chessbucks has crashed and nobody wants to touch the stuff. The instability put all the chessbookies out of business,, unfortunately.. Now's the time to buy! Buy, I say, BUY!

Penguincw: I'm not sure of the future of the ChessBookie game, but it would have been nice for if this were the final leg ever, that we can conclude it with a Championship Leg.

It is still possible, but Tata Steel is long gone.

Feb-21-21  mike1: well, there is always hope!
and so I liked to hope to see you all again
for another leg of ups and downs in the world
of online chess bets!
till then, stay safe, stay calm and keep on playing! Cheers and thanks again Michael
