Apr-17-05  cuendillar: <WTHarvey> You really make a lot of advertising on that, don't you?

I am amazed every day by just how many players' games you have, including obscure ones like this one. How did your site come to have positions from all these players?

WTHarvey: <Abaduba> Thx! I go thru a bunch of games. :-) It's getting to be a morning ritual to pull up chessgames.com first thing and check out the 'GM of the Day'. To be sure, all soon to be GMs have plenty of beautiful combinations early in their career. It's nice to capture some of those brilliancies.

Feb-27-10  Poisonpawns: Happy Birthday Yehuda!!
Sep-21-10  jontsef: He's playing in the Olympiad for ICSC (International Coalition for Silent Chess or something like that). He's on first board.
Feb-28-12  waustad: I recall spending a while trying to figure out what the listing was for in the olympiad. Happy b'day!
Feb-28-12  mike1: Yehuda is (was?) one of the strongest
speed chess players around; even though this is based on seeing him playing in Biel in the 80s. He played games for money and trashed some Yugoslawian GMs and IMs with 1 minute to 5!

Fusilli: <jontsef: He's playing in the Olympiad for ICSC (International Coalition for Silent Chess or something like that)>

And what exactly would that be, and why does it have the status of a country as far as the chess olympiad goes?

alexmagnus: International <Commitee> of Silent Chess. A chess federation for the hearing impaired. Part of the Olympiads just as the two others disability related federations (IBCA for the blind and IPCA for the physically disabled).
Feb-28-16  TheFocus: Happy birthday, GM Yehuda Gruenfeld.
