Jun-11-12 | | whiteshark: < Quote of the Day
< Bobby is the most misunderstood, misquoted celebrity wal♔ the face of this earth. >> -- Seirawan
any updates? |
Oct-18-12 | | ughaibu: How much colloquial russian did Seirawan understand in 1983? |
Nov-30-12 | | norami: I just got the book on Anand's games by Anand and Nunn and at the end it quoted Seirawan from his book saying that he thought Anand was the 4th best player of all time. It didn't say who his top three were, but if you put Anand at #4 you must favor recent players, in which case the logical choices for the top three would be Kasparov, Fischer, Karpov, probably in that order. Anyone know? |
Jul-18-13 | | RookFile: I can't imagine it not being Kasparov, Fischer and Karpov in some order. |
Aug-29-13
 | | offramp: I don't think Seirawan liked the early, brash Kasparov, but he would surely have him in his top three. Fischer has to be in there. But could the other one be Korchnoi? Possibly Alekhine? A lot of these conundra could be solved by asking the statement-utterer. |
Sep-06-13 | | redwhitechess: This utterly entertaint youtube video about Yasser story telling his past, Fischer, Korchnoi only got 30 views? the best part is the Korchnoi story...can't spoiled it here, just watch it...lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng5d... |

Dec-02-13 | | Boomie: <redwhitechess: video about Yasser> Thanks for posting the link to that video.
I was one of the adults he mentions who accepted Yaz as "one of us". He was good company even when he was 12 and we enjoyed our time together. |
Feb-11-14 | | RookFile: At the link in Yasser's bio he mentions that he is married to a Dutch lady, Yvette Nagel, who is a FIDE FM. |

 | | Check It Out: Happy CG-day, Yasser! You are an inspiration to the Seattle chess scene. |
Mar-24-14 | | King Radio: Thanks for the video link. I can say, having personally seen Yasser at a simul years ago, that he was a perfect, old school gentleman, when he could have easily been a lout. Too bad every great chess player does not have his manners and character. Yasser would be a credit to whatever profession he belonged, we are lucky he is a member of the chess world. |
Mar-24-14 | | JustAFish: Happy Brithday, Yasser! I've been watching your lectures on the Saint Louis Chess Club YouTube page, and I love them. Keep of the great work! |

Aug-19-14 | | Mr. V: Actually, 60 euros is like $80 I think. |
Jan-16-15 | | Conrad93: The best commentator ever. I really can't think of a better one. |
Jan-31-15 | | pcomanici: Probably one of the coolest professional chess players ever. Great GM! Great attitude! Serious steward for professional chess! Hope one day to get his autograph. One of "my all time" favorites! (as u can tell) |
Jan-31-15
 | | SteinitzLives: If other American players could muster 1/10th of Yasser's professionalism, personality and class, U.S. Chess would be much better off. |
Feb-02-15 | | pcomanici: Totally agree! |
Feb-02-15 | | lost in space: Totally agree! |

May-11-15 | | TheFocus: <Throughout chess history, great debates have raged about the pros and cons of hanging pawns. The debates are nonsense; the answer is cut and dried. If the pawns can be attacked and forced to move forward, they are weak. If they can be defended and remain where they are, they are strong> - Yasser Seirawan. |
