Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-04-04  Everett: Ouch, not the Spassky we're accustomed to... It's not often we see Seirawan in a king's pawn game work somebody over. Lousy opening by black, a St. George with no pressure on d4.
Jun-07-04  misguidedaggression: Nice little tactical shot in the end, though. 28...Qc6 29.Ng7+ wins the exchange, whereas 28...Qb7 29.Nd6 is a royal fork and of course 28...fe6 29.Qxg6+.
Sep-08-05  aw1988: Test.
Sep-08-05  aw1988: lopium, it works.
Sep-08-05  Rama: I thought the sack was good on move 18 at first, but then I saw 18 ... fe, 19 Qxe6 Nf4, with the double attack on the Qe6 and the Pg2, gaining time for 20 ... Nd3 winning the exchange and getting chances. Yaz did the right thing.
Feb-06-06  Whitehat1963: 23. Nxe6 is quite a killer move.
Feb-06-06  morpstau: Ouch, not the Spassky we're accustomed to... It's not often we see Seirawan in a king's pawn game work somebody over. Lousy opening by black, a St. George with no pressure on d4.
