At any time now (at will) , I can reach a state that one is in when one is just about to fall sleep (and yet I am fully awake and alert) - no thoughts whatsoever , very restful state , alpha/theta brain wave activity level , breath in the rhythm of ajapa mantra * - and in addition abiding deeply in Absolute/Atman ('watching' clearly/deeply both the witnesses viz (i) consciousness and (ii) Absolute/Atman) Very alert/awake and yet as if asleep.
Now , I need to stabilize in this state , I need to be in this state all day , every waking moment , 24/7. Once we stabilize in this state , we are supposed to be on threshold of enlightenment . From this state , it took nisargadatta maharaj , 3 years (three years) to get enlightened (I might take much more than that perhaps because my genes are 'difgicult'/'bad' or may be around 3 years only ...Who knows ,...Let us see) *Ajapa mantra : when you are just about to fall asleep , your breath is in a restful rhythm if you ever noticed or may be you saw a child sleeping and noticed that its breath is in a restful rhythm - that is rhythm of ajapa mantra ...If you mentally recite mantra synchronized with breath , eventually breath gets in that rhythm , and eventually , your breath gets in that rhythm even when you not reciting mantra mentally |
