Jul-15-08 | | jon01: Inarkiev always plays his games sharply and unpredictably. I hope he reaches 2700 and will become more popular player. |
|
Oct-05-08 | | Billy Vaughan: Eek! He won't at this pace: +0 -3 =0 at Russian Superfinals so far. Hope he picks it up with some wins! |

Dec-26-08 | | walker: Initially I was sorry for the guy. Who wants to be named after a murderer? I know an older man nameed after Adolf Hitler and his life was a nightmare because of his parents idiotic choice. But now I see that our Ernesto has a small portret of the murderer Ernesto Gevara. Such a pitty. |

 | | GrahamClayton: Inarkiev does not like to leave the board during his games, as he thinks he will loose his concentration. During the 2009 European Individual championships, the hot conditions led to Inarkiev refeshing himself by placing drops of water from a wine glass onto his forehead, rather than going to the bathroom. |

Jan-29-12 | | plimko: Inarkiev is the top seeded player in Moscow Open (from 28 january to 5 february) In the first round a little surprise, Chigaev-Inarkiev 1/2, but a very good job from the teenager Maksim (born in 1996): [Event "Festival Moscow Open 2012"]

Sep-30-14
 | | Penguincw: Congratz to Ernesto Inarkiev for winning the Baku Open (2014) on tiebreaks, ahead of Constantin Lupulescu. His TPR was slightly better (2528 vs. 2512). Both finished with 7/9. It wasn't easy, as Inarkiev, the 2nd seed had to beat 3rd seed Alexander Areshchenko with black in the final round to secure it. Inarkiev gained a solid 9 rating points in the tournament, which should help him in his quest back to the 2700 club. http://chess-results.com/tnr144353.... |

 | | Penguincw: Congrats to Ernesto Ianarkiev for remaining the last player at the Moscow Open (2015) tournament to remain at a perfect score (4/4). The average rating of his opponents were about 2432 vs. his 2675, so he had it easy. He gained 8.2 rating points. Unfortunately, he has black against Korobov (2687) tomorrow, so his perfect record will probably be ruined. |

 | | Penguincw: And congrats to Inarkiev (my apologizes for the above typo) for winning the Moscow Open (2015) tournament. He went a perfect 5/5 before Mamedov held him to a draw. However, he bounced right back with a win against top seed Nepomniactchi, followed by drawing Petrosian. Entering the last round, he could've simply drew with Lysyj to clinch a share of first place, but he beat him to finish a full point (8/9) ahead of 2nd seed Vallejo Pons, 4th seed Korobov (who he beat with black) and Petrosian and Artemiev. 12 players finished a half point behind them, including Nepo. His undefeated +7 score (9 rounds) against 2570 opposition was a 2921 TPR and helped him gain 23.5 rating points. On the live ratings, that's enough to rise him to 2698.5, which will be rounded to 2699 (assuming he doesn't play in this month again). He also gained 18 spots and is now world #47. |

Aug-14-15 | | fisayo123: Pretty random nominee. Seems to get quite a lot of favors. I remember him being invited to the Petrosian memorial. |
