Tejas Ravichandran rated just 2165 beat three GM's in a row in the 12th Dubai Open 2010

First it was Russian GM Sergey Volkov 2612

In the second round it was UAE GM A R Saleh Salem 2483

It was the Spanish GM Lopez Martinez Josep Manuel 2548 who fell in the third round

Tejas Ravichandran is in lead with 3/3 points and earned 41 elo points. His Rating Performance is 3348 which is 1183 elo above his rating.

IS INDIA UN-EARTHED AN GENIUS - I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PLAYER RATED IN 2100'S CONSECUTIVELY BEATING THREE GM'S RATED ABOVE 2500'S.

Apr-08-10  piyushranjan: hmm, 3 in a row sounds like super lucky/special hypnotic powers/computer assistance :P

If its based on skills alone, i congratulate Tejas for his feat, and hope he continues the streak :)

Oct-07-12  shivasuri4: I suppose he's quit playing tournaments for now. His last rated games were in late 2010.
