Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-05-08  dfelix: 39.Bf5 looks strong. After 39...Kg8 40.Rxh6 the threat of Rh8+ forces 40...Kf8, and white ends it with 41.Rh8+ Ke7 42.Qe6#.
Mar-04-08  whiteshark: "Kaissa played Ostrich in the last round. A win for Ostrich would have given Ostrich a tie for first place. Ostrich missed two winning moves (one was a force mate in 6 moves) and lost the game. The forced mate by Ostrich involved a piece sacrifice which the program was unable to make."

Apr-15-22  rwbean: Mates:
35. ♖xh6+ (mate in 10)
38. ♖xh6+ (mate in 10)
39. ♗f5 (mate in 6)

43. ♖xh6+ draws ... but no way a 1974 computer would have seen all the different perpetual check options.
