Jan-10-23  Ninas Husband: Collusion among the Soviets did not begin at Curacao 1962. Case in point.
Mar-17-23  Helios727: The same 2 out of 3 men who did this at Curacao.

What about a short draw like Keres vs Petrosian, 1962?

What about Ragozin vs I Mazel, 1934?

Mar-18-23  Olavi: It's even worse than that. Chigorin, the founder of the Soviet School of Chess (despite dying in 1908), never played a short draw in his life; yet the commie cheats copied the antipode, the conservative-reactionary dogmatic Tarrasch.

Blackburne vs Tarrasch, 1892 Tarrasch vs J Mason, 1892 K Walbrodt vs Tarrasch, 1892

All in one tournament! Just to shut others out.

perfidious: Those Commonist (the J Edgar Hoover pronunciation) rats aped the wretched habits of a <German>? I'm here to tell you, they had one helluva f***ing nerve!

beatgiant: <Olavi> It's not entirely true that "Chigorin never played a short draw in his life."

Gunsberg vs Chigorin, 1890 drawn in 13 moves.

Chigorin vs S Rosenthal, 1883 drawn in 20 moves.

He had a few others drawn in 21, 22 or 24 moves. It's easy to find those here with a search by player = Chigorin, number of moves <= 24, result = draw.

Mar-18-23  Olavi: <beatgiant> Really? So he was a commie in 1883!

  perfidious: Maybe earlier than that!
