Jul-11-09  just a kid: Kramnik has played a great game. This is the Kramnik people want to see.
Jul-11-09  ajile: Yes White can't exchange queens. Qd6 looks like the move.

kamalakanta: wow...according to Deep Shredder, Black just lost all his advantage, and White is better now, with 43.Qd6!

An Englishman: Good Afternoon: I have to admire how Jakovenko did not despair after muffing his attack. He seems to be finding every chance to save the half-point. However, 42...Qb5 looks pretty good. Perhaps 43.Qd6 is the best reply.
Jul-11-09  Craigokat: if Qd6, Qb8 trades Qs, sack rook , b and c pawns win
Jul-11-09  percyblakeney: Oops, Qd6 Qb8 and no drawing line anymore.

kamalakanta: Too bad. Black was winning. I think he is tired. After all, the human brain is inside the human body....
Jul-11-09  AgentRgent: <kamalakanta: wow...according to Deep Shredder, Black just lost all his advantage, and White is better now, with 43.Qd6!> Shredhead hasn't seen 43...Qb8 yet!
Jul-11-09  Fiberking: 43. Qd4 should draw

  kamalakanta: <mike1: wow. Qd6 Qb8!!, Qxb8 Rxb8, e8Q Rxe8, Rxe8 Kf7 and the pawns win.>

Yes! Oh my God, he is still winning! Not only is he alive, he is IN THE ZONE!

Jul-11-09  OneArmedScissor: woot woot Kramnik chose my move! Let's just hope it wins!
Jul-11-09  just a kid: 43...Qb8! and Kramnik could still win this!
Jul-11-09  ajile: mike1: wow. Qd6 Qb8!!, Qxb8 Rxb8, e8Q Rxe8, Rxe8 Kf7 and the pawns win.

But White can check Black's king instead of exchanging.

Jul-11-09  percyblakeney: With Qd6 impossible this just looks winning for black.

An Englishman: Good Afternoon: 43.Qd6?,Qb8! is a nasty little shot. Then it appears White must try 43.Qd4, but then 43...Qd5; 44.Qf6,Qf7 looks good for Black.

Right! But as soon as I played Qb8 for Black, Shredder's evaluation changed to an overwhelming advantage for Black!

Jul-11-09  ajile: Oh wait the queen is pinned.

Interesting.

Jul-11-09  just a kid: After seeing Carlsen draw today,I think Kramnik is playing all out to win this.
Jul-11-09  OneArmedScissor: ...Qb8! would be a hell of a move
Jul-11-09  vonKrolock: such endgame is too dangerous for both sides... i guess some agreement soon too
Jul-11-09  SCUBA diver: After 43. Q-d6, Q-b8, 44. QxQ, RxQ, 45. p-e8+(Q), RxQ, and b6
Jul-11-09  dotsamoht: 43 Qd6 Qb8 44 Qxb8 Rxb8 45 e8(Q)+ Rxe8 46 Rxe8+ Kf7 looks good for Black to a human. Is that the line?
