Don't frequent here anymore and I only drop it from time to time. Hard to believe it has been 5 years since I joined this site. I was only 12 at the time... Now I'm 17 and in my Junior year of high school. Perhaps I will find the passion I had for chess when I was younger and come back. I do miss the community here.

just a kid: I don't know if anyone has seen it yet, but your YouTube channel is mentioned in the most recent Chess Life article as a good free chess resource. Glad to see one of my favorite commentators commended for their fine efforts!

just a kid: <Petrosianic: And black just plays 15...Ncd4.> Expected because of the redundant knights but there will probably be a few trades, which the position will begin to look very equal. This might be the result Karjakin wants if he feels that he has a better chance to win in the ...

just a kid: Regarding the subject of Walter Browne, the name of the computer he played in this Queen vs. Rook endgame was "Belle." Belle was installed with a tablebase for Queen v. Rook and the programmer, Ken Thompson, looked for a GM to play the theoretically won side of the Queen v. Rook ...

just a kid: Congrats to Carlsen for winning the tournament! He played some fine games during the tournament. Also, congrats to Karjakin for demonstrating the most fighting spirit!

just a kid: Anand trades down to a drawn pawn ending. Computers really don't think Kramnik has an edge but humans would prefer his position by far. Will be interesting to see how things play out.

just a kid: I found Ra4+ easily enough but I desperately wanted to make the Queen sacrifice 32. Qxb5+ to work for the fun of it. The point is after 32...axb5 33. Ra4+ and after 33.. bxa4 or Kxa4, 34. Ra6# still mates. However after 32... Kxb5 33. Rcc6+, 33... Qe2+ stops the checkmate for the

just a kid: I have won both of my games vs. Hejo1 of "Winners Only" and I am ready for another set of team matches if I'm needed. If anyone is interested, I annotated a game I played two weeks ago vs. a Master level player: Carry on =)
