Elephant Gambit Games
Compiled by takchess
--*--

I first ran across this opening in 2006 when I was first getting the Chess fever. At a park in Vancouver CA when I was working a radiology show. Before the show each morning, I went over to the art museum grounds where street chess was played. A Russian/Bulgarian ? fellow played this for a buck a game.

This Game starts out with a series of the popular Paulsen Countergambit line the first 30ish games. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d5 3. exd5 e4. White accepts the pawn and black attempts to push the Knight.

Dividing some of these games by variation as I try to learn some of the play. Opening Explorer Pawn take followed by Pawn push
Opening Explorer Note many of these names are from White Shark's excellent collection.

The Wasp Variation takes with the Knight https://www.chessgames.com/perl/che... White takes e4 X d5 and bishop block
