The 8th Sunway Sitges Open (Group A) was a 275-player 10-round Swiss tournament held at Hotel Sunway Playa Golf & Spa in Sitges, Spain, 13-23 December 2021. Rest day: 18 December (before Round 6). Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves then 30 more minutes to finish the game, with 30 seconds added per move from move 1. No draw until move 31 without the consent of the arbiter.
