Russian Championship (Women) (2003)

The 53rd Russian Women's Championship tournament was a 34-player 9-round Swiss held at the Chess Palace in Elista, Russia, 18-26 May 2003. Time control: 90 minutes for the whole game, with 30 seconds added per move from move 1. Prize fund: 300.000 Russian rubles. Number of games played: 153. The Swiss championship tournament was from 2004 on replaced by a 12-player round-robin championship "Superfinal".

Irina Turova (Slavina) won on tiebreak ahead of six other players with 6/9. Stepovaia was 2nd and Demina 3rd.

  Tabanus: These 152 games added today. https://www.365chess.com/tournament... has 170 games because two players' games are listed twice under different names, and round 9 was played 26 May, not 28 May. The one missing game is Chistiakova vs Pogonina 1/2 in round 5 (I did not find the game score).
