 | | PeterLalic: "Loss of Sanitt, E"
This is my proudest game.

I played 8...Nce7, instead of the more natural 8...Nge7, in order to clear the sixth rank. click for larger viewBlack to move. Last: 11.Nxh8.
I predicted correctly that my opponent would not foresee the rook lift. click for larger viewBlack to move. Last: 24.Be2.
The next sacrifice was too tempting for both of us. click for larger viewBlack to move. Last: 33.Rh2.
All of his pawns were blockaded, despite outnumbering mine by seven to five. click for larger viewWhite to move. Last: 39...Ng4.
He could not attend to a3, e3, and g3 simultaneously. |

 | | An Englishman: Good Evening: Very good pun for a very good game! Also, one of the most unusual. The entire ...Ra8-a6-h6xh8 sequence? Never saw that before. Three minor pieces overwhelming two Rooks and two Pawns? Very rare. Perhaps White should not have played 25.Bxg4. Seems like half of Black's moves look like typos--very high quality typos. |

Apr-03-25 | | goodevans: Lovely game. I would never have thought of <24...Rg4>. After accepting the sac (was that wise?) White had on paper a big material plus but his Rs were hemmed in by his own pawns whilst Black’s minors were free to gradually tighten the vice. Nice. It’s a pretty good pun too for which Ethan’s parents must take some of the credit. I imagine it’s not the first time poor Ethan’s name has been the subject of such humour. |

 | | MissScarlett: This game may become known as the <Pearl of Earlsfield>. It's certainly the best game ever to have been played in the postcode <SW18 4HP>. |

Apr-03-25 | | areknames: I agree with the above posters. Well done on both the game and the pun, Master Lalic. |

 | | Teyss: After 5...a5 we are in unknown territory, not that the 3rd and 4th moves are very common either. After 10.Ng6 it's a jungle. After 25.Bxg4 we are on Planet Dagobah. Wild and interesting game, congrats Peter D Lalic. Good pun which could also have been <In-Sanitt-E>. Sometimes one wonders how parents decide to name their children. | | offramp: Earlsfield is a very posh area in south London. I live in the slummy end, Tooting. Garrett Lane is an interesting road. It is numbered up to 1065, but on the other side the numbers go up to 995. Earlsfield is roughly half way along. The road runs from Tooting to Wandsworth; I don't know any other road in London that is that long. The best bus for that journey is the 270, or the 77. I would imagine that Peter D Lalic would go to Earlsfield in a Lamborghini, or a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, or a gyrocopter. |

 | | offramp: Have you ever heard of this game: Euwe vs Alekhine, 1935 ? It is the <"Pearl of Zandvoort">. This is the <"Pearlsfield of Zwandswrooth">. 😂🤣🤪😁😎🤏😳🕶🤏🧐! |
