Dec-01-23  dehanne: Moussard is one of Carlsen's lapdogs.

fredthebear: It's a chess thing. Puffy has a couple, dumb as a box of rocks. That's how he developed the eye roll habit.

The database shows more than 1,000 games played in this line of the Berlin Defense and a whopping 74% are drawn. It might as well be a French Exchange, trading off pieces on the open e-file.

What do you mean by that?

fredthebear: Glad you asked about me. Oh, this is your first post here, right?

I was looking for your chess commentary, but there doesn't seem to be any. It appears that you're following ol' FTB around this website again today as my ever-present stalker, and then you make your standard routine negative comment. We all know your political ploy of falsely accusing others of the sins that you yourself do. BTW, your politics so bore us.

Now read carefully: <It's a chess thing. Puffy has a couple, dumb as a box of rocks. That's how he developed the eye roll habit.

The database shows more than 1,000 games played in this line of the Berlin Defense and a whopping 74% are drawn. It might as well be a French Exchange, trading off pieces on the open e-file.>

There's the answer to your entirely unnecessary question. I'm assuming you know what the Berlin Defense is. Let me spell it out loud and clear for the rest who follow your lead editor:

Grand Masters Play This Line For A Draw More Often Than Not.

Now the rest of the good folks are supposed to laugh at the other part, but you can just roll your eyes. That's easy enough.

You gonna put this one in your personal forum just like the rest?

!/??

Dec-02-23  macer75: Oh my - things are getting spicy around here!
Dec-02-23  EvanTheTerrible: Niemann apparently pummeled Moussard in blitz otb when they were both in Paris. I wonder what he thinks of the accusations.

perfidious: Whatever Moussard's views, perhaps he should share them with Kramnik, or the poster in this thread who made a completely unfounded accusation of cheating in a matter of which he had no firsthand knowledge, as below:

Dec-02-23  whiteshark: Kind of <Berlin Bughouse>
Dec-03-23  jerseybob: I don't know how long a Zagreb to London flight takes, but if the Tournament of Peace really ended on 11-30 and this event really started on 12-1, Hans would've barely had time to visit the Loo before plunging into the London Classic. So far, 2 uninspiring draws.

You doubt it?

fredthebear: <macer75> My second post was a response to Puffy's negative smear addressing FTB that has since been removed. He constantly harasses FTB posts each day despite my strenuous objections to CGs.

The post order now gives the appearance that FTB was addressing YOUR question instead of puffy's non-sense. FTB did NOT respond to your question!

Peace!

perfidious: One would imagine Niemann has little doubt of that.
Dec-03-23  jerseybob: <MissScarlett: <if the Tournament of Peace really ended on 11-30 and this event really started on 12-1> You doubt it?> Not really, I just used the "if" phrase to hint about there being too much mediocre chess being played these days. For the players and media there's much more money, so who am I to romanticize the good old days of starvation? But I'm not confusing this affair with London 1922.

Dec-05-23  jerseybob: Good video, when it's dealing strictly with chess. The Twitter spat he alludes to at the start doesn't interest me at all.
