Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-26-23  Messiah: Exceptionally complicated game! I love it very much!
Nov-28-23  rwbean: Worth another look to see if Black has drawing chances after move 40

beatgiant: <rwbean> Black should aim to trade down pawns on the kingside. For example, <40...h4> 41. Rb3 hxg3+ 42. hxg3 g4 43. Nb4 gxf3 44. exf3 Ne7. With fewer kingside pawns to target, White faces greater technical difficulty trying to win.

Nov-29-23  rwbean: Perhaps 40... ♔f7 or 47... e5 still draw. Pawn storm! The black rook is just where it needs to be.

beatgiant: <rwbean> 47...e5 48. Rb8 followed by b6 and b7 leave Black's rook tied to the b-file and Black's king tied to the g7/h7 squares. White's king should then be able to attack Black's kingside pawns with what seems like a standard win.

I see no drawing chances there, but I'd be very interested if you have any ideas.

Dec-30-23  rwbean: Some good drawing tactics there!

47... e5 48. ♖b8 g4!

then
(a) 49. ♔c3 exf3 50. gxf3 ♖b1
(b) 49. b6 f4!
(c) 49. ♖b6+ ♔f7
(d) 49. ♔c4 ♖xe2
(e) 49. f4 exf4
(f) 49. fxg4 hxg4
