It's masterpiece of pawn endings like Tal vs Korchnoi, 1968 and V Nedeljkovic vs L Volpert, 1961

Apparently white have only two moves-candidates in position above - 26.e4 and 26.g4 for prevent black's king breakthrough.

Now main lines of Stockfish analysis looks as follows

Analysis by Stockfish dev-20230218-852330ee:

1. +- (6.45): 26.e4 b6 27.Kc3 a6 28.Kc4 a5 29.d5+ Kd7 30.a4 f6 31.Kd4 Kd6 32.b3 c5+ 33.Kc4 Ke5 34.Kb5 f5 35.exf5 gxf5 36.d6 Kf4 37.d7 Kg3 38.g6 f4 39.d8R Kg4 40.Kxb6 Kh4 41.Rd1 Kg4 42.Kxa5 Kh4 43.Kb6 c4 44.bxc4 f3 45.gxf3

One of the most interesting and instructive pawn ending what I have seen!

beatgiant: At move 30. e5+ looks like a big improvement.

After 30. e5+ Kd5 31. g3. Later on White aims to maneuver his king to f4 and play a g4 break, and after ...fxg4 Kxg4 White's king will eventually occupy the e4 square and drive back Black's king.
