fredthebear: <Sally>'s diagram above is the Gibbins-Weidenhagen Gambit (A45), a.k.a. Maltese Falcon Attack, but is often listed simply as an Indian Defense/Game.The Maltese Falcon, you ask? "Don't get excited" - https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...
O.K., so it was a little before my time, but we did have 3-5 channels of black and white television during my youth. Not one of them showed chess. At some point, we were blessed with Captain Kangaroo. Captain K gave rise to this all-time great song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6D... This sing along is the only time my mother ever let me smoke. Man, that was good stuff!! Hop in the shower and just trying hitting all those notes yourself.

Sorry <offramp>. I don't know squat about the Devon Gambit. Looks like White might be a closet Grob's Opening player. If I'm Black, I'm taking the free pawn, else it becomes a thorn. And it's free, hors d'oeuvres! https://www.myrecipes.com/t/appetiz...
