HeMateMe: A VG topical pun! (James was the pits...)
Mar-21-23  Cheapo by the Dozen: Orange was a poor black.
Mar-21-23  goodevans: <Cheapo> Funny... but a bit harsh.

After reading your comment and <perfidious>'s I nearly didn't bother playing through the game, expecting just to see Capa handing out a thumping to some blunderous patzer. Far from it.

Capa might have had the upper hand for the entire game but Orange's only real lemon was 46...Nf5?. Allowing Capa to force the exchange of Ns was never going to end well (okay, 49...Kg4?, whilst also bad, merely hastened the end).

Looking at the position a few moves earlier, say after 41...Nxf5, I reckon if someone of Capa's strength had taken over as Black they might well have been able to salvage a draw. If that's true then to have drawing chances against the great man that far into the game is an achievement in itself.

'Orange just not quite good enough'.

OhioChessFan: On general principles, 44...Ng3+, creating an outside passed Pawn, has to be better.

The user you are referring to makes practically no chess-related contribution (and is going full blast unmoderated for lots of years now), just regurgitating his personal attack crap, so expecting him to find 44...Ng3+ is weird, at least.

Maybe I will get b& for this comment, but I increasingly see it as a blessing.
