fredthebear: <"Michael-Jackson Thriller"> is suitable. Dude, that was 40 years ago!

Good luck <OCF>. Given recent grievance posts, there's a snowball's chance in Hades of having your puns picked now. Change is hard to come by here.

Thrilling finish...

56...Bd5!

If 61.axRb4 Be4+ leads to mate in the corner.

OhioChessFan: 40 years ago...wow. I think <every single stereo set> on the campus of Miami University played that sunup to sundown for 6 months.

OhioChessFan: By the by, you needn't expect a selection either after your post on the pun selector's forum. But maybe.

fredthebear: Oh, THAT post. Is it still there? It didn't get deleted? Wasn't it fair to say? I "bear" no grudges against the pun selector; s/he contributes much to this site for which I'm grateful. My top concern is the lack of public decorum and a de-emphasis on chess. Users who don't contribute to chess are a problem, IMHO.

& & &

Here's MJ's Thriller: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?... I think he's better known for his dance scene in "Billie Jean" but to each his own.

Did you know that Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Sting, Madonna, and Bono from U2 were/are chess players?

Here's MJ playing chess w/his young son: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0F...

Wouldn't want anyone to think that I'm a big MJ fan. I'd rather listen to The Boss, Cher, Lionel Richie, Joan Jett, Kenny Rogers, Elton John, Hall & Oates, etc. It's the cool break dancing that really helps me remember those days back in the early 1980s.
