Jul-14-08  arsen387: This guy must be a Q sac expert! In almost all of his games that I saw he sac'ed a Q in a spectacular way! Look also R Fontaine vs M Vachier Lagrave, 2007 and D Pira vs M Vachier Lagrave, 2008 . I think he already deserves much more attention
Jul-14-08  computer chess guy: Black could have tried 22 .. ♕xf3 23. ♖xf1 ♕xe4 24. ♖ae1 ♕g6 25. ♗xf8 ♖xf8, winding up with a Queen vs Rook+Bishop in the endgame.
Jul-16-08  ionnn: I like this one too :
G Goldstein vs M Vachier Lagrave, 2004
Jul-16-08  arsen387: <ionnn> wow, another great Q sac by Maxime. Thanks for pointing it. I think I'll make a game collection with all that Q sac games by him

Jan-29-16  The Kings Domain: Who said Queen sacrifices are no longer possible nowadays?

Memorable game. Vachier-Lagrave at his best is Chess at one of its most aesthetic and instructive.

Jan-29-16  morfishine: Click thru this one real fast and you'll be dizzy for the rest of the day
Jan-29-16  catlover: The queen sacrifice and the play that followed are spectacular, but I also like Legrave's offer to sacrifice the exchange on move 18.
Jan-29-16  kevin86: Both sides queen in this thrilla.
