Member since Sep-03-15 · Last seen Sep-21-23
Hello. Long time chess lover here and a long time member of Chessgames (I used the nic "Nightwalk"), to me the best site on Caissa on the net. I look forward to playing and analyzing the wealth and history the illustrious game has to offer on this warm and attractive site, and I equally look forward to having good discussions with other like-minded individuals here.

Dec-31-21 Abdusattorov vs Carlsen, 2021 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Impressive win by the young master of this game and the tournament. Whether he can capitalize on the triumph or not he can look back on it with great pride and fulfillment.

Dec-10-21 Nepomniachtchi vs Carlsen, 2021 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Interesting position.

Dec-10-21 Alekhine vs Yates, 1923 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Gotta admire Yates' dogged persistence in gaining the win.

Dec-10-21 Reti vs Capablanca, 1924 (replies)

The Kings Domain: A fine victory by Reti and an impressive one considering Capablanca's accomplishment by then. Hypermodern was here to stay.

Dec-09-21 Dubois vs Duke Karl / Count Casabianca, 1859 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Another oldie but goodie. Fine attacking play by Dubois in this all-out game.

Dec-09-21 Karpov vs Timman, 1988 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Highly impressive game by Karpov, at his best his depth and brilliance are truly inspiring. Love playing these games from the last great era of Chess.

Dec-09-21 Carlsen vs Nepomniachtchi, 2021 (replies)

The Kings Domain: I was amused and entertained by the opening, it's something 1500s would play in an online blitz game. Credit to the combatants that the draws are interesting, one can't say the match has been boring.

Dec-08-21 Nepomniachtchi vs Carlsen, 2021 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Credit to Nepo for shaking things up by trying different openings but he just doesn't seem to have the chops to pull it off. His annoying habit in the game of staring at Carlsen in a mocking manner showed his character and clearly proves why Carlsen is the champ. I guess we

   Dec-06-21 E Williams vs Staunton, 1851 (replies)

The Kings Domain: Fine victoriana. Love these games from long ago.

Dec-06-21 Carlsen vs Nepomniachtchi, 2021 (replies)

The Kings Domain: With this Carlsen may have already bagged the crown. Nepomniachtchi has proven to be more disappointing than Karjakin and Caruana. It seems he was going for the safe draw by trying to exchange queens at the start. Credit to Carlsen for choosing to fight. One good thing ...
