Jun-14-03  bishop: 6...Qf6?? and all is lost.
Jun-15-03  drukenknight: maybe it was not too late to save it on the 7th move, there is still a discovered attack out there. what if 7...Ng4?
Jun-15-03  Bears092: 8. Qxf6 and 9 Nxc7+
Jun-17-03  drukenknight: okay why not 7..Nf3+ 8 gxf3 Qxf3?
Jun-17-03  Shadout Mapes: 7..Nf3+ 8 gxf3 Qxf3 9.Nxc7+ Kd8 10.Nxa8 Qxh1 11.Qxg7
Jun-17-03  drukenknight: 11....Qxe4+
Jun-17-03  Bears092: 12. Be3

White has an extra piece and a rook soon.

Jun-18-03  drukenknight: it looks like a bad blitz game, enuf already. The metal monster at chesslab prefers 4....Bxf2+ anyhow.

and "no" I'm not prepared to play that one either.

lostemperor: drukenknight, since you start checking online chessengines does that mean we'll get less of your ridiculous suggestions?

lostemperor: Well I wasn't too serious as some of you may (not) have notice. I think it a bit pity (sometimes) that the human mind is less and less represented and its becomes more heavy metal analysis.
Jun-21-03  drukenknight: IT's a pity that people have to insult one another when they are only human and have to make mistakes.
Jun-21-03  Shadout Mapes: I think I'd miss some of DK's suggestions, if he stopped making them. His ideas and thoughts challenge me to think more about chess, the hidden dynamics, or just to make me check to see how sharp my tactics are.

lostemperor: For the record: ppl, it wasn't me who insulted drukenknight. As you see I agree with him:)
Jun-22-03  drukenknight: You should be careful about admitting that, lstmpr. Around here, they might lock you up for admitting such a thing.
Oct-30-05  CowardlyKnight: The guy had to be drunk.
Oct-30-05  CapablancaFan: <CowardlyKnight>Lol, obviously this wasn't a match setting and Capablanca decided to play an "average joe". I also think you right Cowardly, the guy must have had a little too much Jack Daniels to play like this. Capa probably played this game in his sleep lol.
Oct-30-05  Averageguy: <Capa probably played this game in his sleep lol.> Well that's what Bronstein did: NN vs Bronstein, 1961

Gypsy: <drukenknight> intuition was right and there is a save -- 7...c6! throws a huge monkeywrench in White plans. See Reti vs A Dunkelblum, 1914 for more details.
Sep-19-06  CapablancaFan: <Gypsy: <drukenknight> intuition was right and there is a save -- 7...c6! throws a huge monkeywrench in White plans> 7.c6? Um...8.Nc7+.

  Gypsy: <CapablancaFan: ... 7.c6? Um...8.Nc7+. >

Nope: 7...c6! 8.Nc7? Kd8! and Black wins.

Sep-20-06  CapablancaFan: <Gypsy>Ok. :-)
Sep-20-06  Calli: 7...c6 8.Nc7 Kd8 9.Bg5!! wins the exchange since after ...Qxg5 10.Nxa8 White can save the knight, I think.

Gypsy: <Calli> Win lose or draw, the 9.Bg5 is just brilliant!
Apr-05-08  D.Observer: Anyway, why did he move <that knight>?

chancho: This game is included in Rogelio Capparo's book on Capablanca's games,(informal section) so whether it's a duplicate, I can't say.
