Aug-17-22  Messiah: One of the most boring games of the superb and legendary Bronstein.

  Sally Simpson: Hi Messiah,

Looks that way, but the imagination, even Bronstein's, is not a tap you can turn off and on.

And it always takes two to tango, Bronstein tried to mix it giving himself a theoretically known IQP but his opponent, who finished last without a single win in this event, was out of sorts and did not appear interested. (Bronstein came 2nd without a single loss.)

perfidious: Perhaps Bronstein vs Shamkovich, 1968 or Kavalek vs Bronstein, 1968 will satisfy those who believe that every player will go all out for a win in every game.
Aug-18-22  Blak TikToker: Why go all out for a loss?
Aug-18-22  Messiah: You misunderstood me, likely. Bronstein was (along with Botvinnik) my chess role model from the very earliest point when I started to play seriously, and he is still one of my absolute favourites. I should simply accept no one can win <every single time>.
