Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-09-08  paavoh: What more can Black wish for by opening with a French Defence? After 14.- Bc5, he had central pawns, Bishop pair, better development.
Apr-09-08  socnegoti: great game by Ni.

today he's playing at the Russian Team Champ against Korchnoi.

Aug-23-08  openingspecialist: This is a good game. I play a lot of the french but i often dont have the guts to sack a piece for the two centre pawns. I guess whats important about this game is that black never gave white a chance to dismantle the centre.
Apr-02-10  braimondi: Amazing game by Ni Hua
Jun-30-15  Tomlinsky: Movsesian played the same speculative line as in Movsesian vs M Gurevich, 2000 here before improving on 13.g4, perhaps, with 13.Rg1 also to no avail.

Black has improved since further with 11...Nfe7 in R Kiuttu vs Ulibin, 2010 and G O'Toole vs G Buckley, 2011.

Dec-01-18  yesnomaybeidontknow: The knights who say "Ni!"

Dec-01-18  thegoodanarchist: Because of the GOTD title, I was expecting under promotion to a knight by Black, at some point in the game.
Dec-01-18  areknames: Brilliant game and brilliant pun.
Dec-01-18  Andrew Chapman: 'What more can Black wish for by opening with a French Defence? After 14.- Bc5, he had central pawns, Bishop pair, better development.'

He's a piece down, that's the slight problem. The engine says white is +.95, but it looks hard to play.

Dec-01-18  Pawn Slayer: The best pun ever!!!!

But the knights changed what they say: is there a player with the name Ekke Ekke Ekke Ekke Ptang Zoo Boing for further game?

Breunor: Computer doesn't like 26 Bc1, where white gives up the lead with a position rating of -.51. The simple Rb1 keeps a small lead at .67.
