 | | perfidious: <DrMAL: As far as AJ Goldsby being "abrasive" at least he rarely violates the CG Posting Guidelines and, more importanty, US LAW in doing so.> Clubhouse lawyer has spoken.......and he hasn't even got his facts straight! Typical tomfoolery from a prize fool.
<ChessGames.com has been notified of intent to file a legal complaint against them for allowing certain members to make (MANY!) illegal
posts....>
Depends on how one wishes to define 'illegal'...by your definition, your worthless arse would surely be kicked to kerbside, just after that of your boy, the <Site Flamer>. <What happens in the days to follow should be interesting, at least to me....> You are so egocentric that everything you do is automatically 'interesting'-to yourself, anyway. <I, for one, I am finished ignoring such blatant "flaming" illegalities on this site (while they remain posted!) and, as such, have (at least in mind) intention to pursue this matter legally, ChessGames.com as well as those in violation of US Law. Be advised.> <FSR>'s comments on this are worthy of respect, but you've lost any credibility you ever had here as a human being, and you're no bloody lawyer, <LOL>, as you would say, or is it <LMAO>, you worthless cretin? |
Sep-09-11 | | DrMAL: <ProjectR: Well i must have missed something, because <FSR> points out that the good doctors rating is 1332.> LMAO. Well, I can assure you it is not 1332. Nor even as low as Michael Aigner's is or ever was. <FSR> is another pomposity who attacked me long ago around the time I first posted so he, most rightfully, remains on IGNORE. Like others in his "class" whatever to be learned from him is more than cancelled by his disgusting insults. As such, whatever his "rating" is, I have far more respect for him as for a 1332 who has some degree of reasonableness, humility and simple courtesy toward others. I am DONE with this discussion. Apparently, <Chancho> claims to know who I am and my rating, if interested, ask him. Whatever it is, I will neither deny it nor confirm it simply because I feel it is none of your (or their) business. I will not address engine use this is simply too ridiculous to bother with. Maybe CG games needs an "Engine Police" in which case there would be maybe two members left. REALLY-GOODBYE! |
Sep-09-11 | | DrMAL: I do have one suggestion for the few trolls, especially those claiming Master level, creating acrimony on this site. Why not ANALYZE AND APPRECIATE A GAME OF CHESS instead of showing everyone what a very "unwell" person you are? |
Sep-09-11 | | TheFocus: Methinks the <Dr> doth protest too much. Buffoon. |
Sep-09-11 | | ProjectR: <thefocus> i didn't realise i was on drmal's ignore list ! But of course im on goldsby's,and im flattered as im in good company, plus for both our sakes its better off i am...
<maatalkko> my handle may be new but im well aware of what goes on on mr goldsby's pages, especially the naka game, but trying to reason with him about it is a waste of time as im sure you found out...its the AJ SOUNDS OFF page that really got to me though, for reasons i wont go into..so unlike you,i dont "hope he adds to it"... |
Sep-09-11 | | rilkefan: <check the games for yourself, they arne't the games of any master> It's five games - maybe he was futzing around, maybe he was drunk, maybe he was blitzing off moves at half attention while at work. And maybe you're not qualified to judge what's inherently master play. People have differing styles - dunno if I could distinguish between any of those hypos (or a dozen others I could come up with if it was worth the effort) based on a few games. |
Sep-09-11 | | TheFocus: <ProjectR> This usually qualifies as "You are on IGNORE" from <DrDemented>: <As such, you serve as another example of a user on here whose contributions include needless "trolling" reflect on YOURSELF. GOODBYE.> |
Sep-09-11 | | ProjectR: <rikefan> Maybe you should ask <Drmal> outright exactly what his actual rating is,if he "was drunk,or even futzing about"..All i see is poor play from a 1350 !! What do you see exacatly ?? The users i checked up on from here on fics were people who proclaimed to be masters, thinking i could learn from them and their games, then come back here and ask them about them..
Im far from a Master, but after going through a lot of masters games recently,i can immediately spot who isn't one !!
<Drmal> i genuinely didn't mean,or think you'd get this offended or i wouldn't have said anything as iv truly nothing against you..I see you do have users attacking you constantly over a period of time, but trust me i dont intend on being one of them as you've said nothing that i find offensive about,or to me..like i said i enjoy your analytical work, but its computer aided..i wish you all the best, but as far as legal action against the site goes id just drop it..No laws have been broken,as no one knows your identity...ignore it ! |
Sep-09-11 | | ProjectR: <thefocus> sorry, just got to read your above post so i guess i am on ignore now then lol...
I dont know what the history is between all you guys and Drmal,(apart from revealing his true ID)but i can see that jokes, and from my point of view fair criticism, elude him ! But that doesn't make him goldsby,he hasn't directly offended me,in fact no one on this site could possibly offend me apart from one person....and we all know who that person is..
This is a chess site..some of us are rubbish(yep.im one lol) and some of us are masters or very strong players, just dont lie about it..its akin to cheating in a game in my eyes..iv just learnt not to get too bothered with certain people here now,as there is some real jerks no doubt about it.. Id like to instill a sense of comedy on some threads, but that pesky <colonel mortimer> always beats me to the punch line..His comedic timing can be exceptional, and i aspire to one day be as entertaining as him lol.. |
Sep-09-11 | | ProjectR: Jesus,iv just realised iv actually smoked 10 cigarrettes whilst hovering over a computer typing my last 10 posts on this page..im normally quite sharp and quick,so im blaming chess block clouding my mind even when im not playing! ...and the life Master of course |
Sep-09-11 | | Wyatt Gwyon: So what are these "illegal posts" referred to above? |
Sep-09-11 | | shach matov: <DrMAL: <FSR> is another pomposity who attacked me long ago around the time I first posted so he, most rightfully, remains on IGNORE.> The proper and respectful decision. I am not very trigger happy when it comes to ignores but this case really does deserve it. |
Sep-09-11 | | Wyatt Gwyon: I'm interested in analyzing the illegality of these aforementioned posts. lol |
Sep-09-11 | | Petrosianic: Do so and report your findings here, lol. |
Sep-09-11 | | TheFocus: <chessgames.com> <TheFocus> <Thanks for alerting us to that, but <DrMAL> already emailed us virtually the same information. We were going to email him back, but we have nothing to hide and there's no harm in answering him publicly: As it says on virtually every page of this site:
<Please observe our posting guidelines: ... 4. Nothing in violation of United States law.> Rule #4 is the most rare of the complaints but it's not without precedent. For example, we once removed links to a site where you can download pirated chess software. It's rare, but it happens, and we take it VERY seriously. However, there haven't been any complaints of this nature recently, from DrMAL or anybody else. That's why we find it odd to be suddenly informed that our website is illegal and we'll be contacted by an attorney shortly. If DrMAL or any other user believes that a law is being broken then they should inform us using the Whistle function or via email (whatever works best). Of course we will need specifics: give us URLs to the actual pages and the content on the page which you believe is in violation of USA law, and ideally even tell us which law you believe it violates. Of course we're not attorneys, but we have hired one, and he believes we're operating in good faith by having such these policies. So we sincerely ask DrMAL or anybody else to try to work within our own policies and they will find there is no need to threaten us with legal action.> |

Sep-09-11 | | I play the Fred: If one takes a step back and looks at this entire imbroglio from front to back, it seems entirely possible that this is some sort of an elaborate money-making scheme. <Step #1:> Antagonize cg.com users with the intent to provoke
<Step #2:> After a sufficient number of hostile responses have been posted, make a (most tenuous) claim that US law has been violated
<Step #3:> Sue chessgames.com for failure to enforce its policies, resulting in mental anguish. This mental anguish is compromising the critical reasoning and analysis skills of <GrandMaster MAL W. Jenkins, PhD>, which in turn compromises his ability to earn a living at the board against the likes of <Anand>, <Kramnik>, <Carlsen>, etc.
<Step #4:> Profit! |
Sep-09-11 | | TheFocus: <I Play the Fred> When you put it like that, of course, it all becomes clear. |
Sep-09-11
 | | perfidious: <Fred> cha-CHING! cha-CHING! cha-CHING! One would think that, given <DrMALadroit>'s genius, he'd have no trouble against such supreme talents... Our hero's intent from the start would appear to have been the provocation of hostility at every turn. Really a piece of work. Here's a thought: if one were to edit all the 'LOL's and 'LMAO's from the not-so-good DR's posts and put them to music, it might go on the lines of this Britney Spears video currently making the rounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omqG... |

Sep-10-11
 | | LIFE Master AJ: <<Sep-09-11 Petrosianic: Actually, there is no constitutional right to join or post in a private club. In <theory>, cg.com could toss out anyone they didn't like.>> Incorrect - as a US company they are governed by US laws. |
Sep-10-11 | | DrMAL: <ProjectR: <rikefan> Maybe you should ask <Drmal> outright exactly what his actual rating is,if he "was drunk,or even futzing about"..All i see is poor play from a 1350 !! What do you see exacatly ??> This is indeed turning comical in addition to insulting, what games did I supposedly play under the incorrect identity troller/flamer <FSR> wrote that I am? |
Sep-10-11 | | LincolnLog: Yes, and there is no law in any jurisdiction that forces a private club to allow anyone inside it. The *government* has to have certain rules binding its activity, but private associations have much more latitude to act. |
Sep-10-11 | | DrMAL: http://ezinearticles.com/?Defamatio... |
Sep-10-11 | | TheFocus: <DrDemented> and <Apple Jack>: <FSR> is an attorney. I think he would know a little bit more than you about LAW. |
Sep-10-11 | | I play the Fred: From <DrMAL>'s link: <Defamation, sometimes called "defamation of character", is spoken or written words that falsely and negatively reflect on a living person's reputation.> So we are damaging the reputation...of <DrMAL>'s anonymous online identity? I mean, unless <DrMAL> is his real name (which I doubt), how could he possibly have a case? Moreover, how could the postings of "psychotic" people who post "trash" (quoting DrMAL directly) thereby damage the reputation of anyone? That's like saying a crazy homeless guy shouting vulgarities at the President damages Obama's reputation. If anyone has a case here, it's <perfidious>. He was subjected to insults <on his player page<<>>> by <DrMAL>. But when one considers the source of the insults, it's safe to say that <perfidious'> reputation hasn't been harmed in the slightest. |
