Mar-29-04  pieterkoekenbier: it's been 134 years, but my uncle just played 4...Qf6; hope it goes as well for me as for Blackburne!
Jun-19-13  ughaibu: How about 21...cd5, 22.Rh7 Kg8, 23.Rg7 Ng7, 24.Bh7 Kh7, 25.Qd4 Ne6 and black has rook and 2 for the Q. Or 23.fg7 Nf4, etc?

MissScarlett: I'm saving this pun for Christmastide, reckoning that the season of goodwill and all that swaddling is the only time I could get away with it.

But I discovered that the <Puller>in question is <Charles Puller>, the brother of Arthur Giles Puller.

Dec-29-23  Messiah: Very weak pun.

Check It Out: I've read Charles and Arthur forums and haven't a clue as to the pun's meaning. Explanation, por favor.

FSR: The pun is too deep for me as well.
Dec-29-23  Saniyat24: Charles is pulling but he got cracked or something...lol

fredthebear: Saving this cracker pun for two years and two months for just the right time is somewhat impressive. That must be what the pun master is doing with all my suggestions.

Timing is everything in chess. It is a blindfold simultaneous no less.

Dec-29-23  mrknightly: In Britain and some other English-speaking countries, people “pull Christmas crackers” during parties. The Christmas crackers contain little trinkets, toys, or even jokes on small pieces of paper.

  fredthebear: Something like this?

What do you get if you eat Christmas decorations? Tinselitis!

What do they sing at a snowman's birthday?
"Freeze a jolly good fellow..."

What did Santa do when he went speed dating?
He pulled a cracker.
