fredthebear: The older sister a.k.a. Susan Polgar beats younger sister Zsofia, who was 14 years old. One would think a quick draw offer would be forthcoming amongst sisters, but I'm guessing Susan had a higher rating to protect.

Dionysius1: Perhaps playing into a drawish endgame is a nod in that direction by the older sister?

Dionysius1: And now I think about it, there weren't official rapid ratings in 1989 were there?

Tabanus: Leon (1989), apparently other tids.

http://www.bartelski.pl/olimpbase/l... p. 410 has the table and says Susan Polgar took her 2nd GM norm. So it was probably not Rapid ..

https://e-nautia.com/rafael.arquinz... has a report but it does not seem to load.
