Jul-17-05  Kangaroo: This could not be the championship of the SU [= Soviet Union] - such an Evil Empire was created formally only in 1922, so this was the championship of Russia!
Jul-17-05  Kangaroo: The name of Evil Empire appeared in Reagan's speech, not in that of Bush!
Jul-17-05  RolandTesh: SU stands for Site Unseen

alexmagnus: Russian championship in Kiev? Nice...Kiev was in 1891 Russian since Ukraine appeared for a short moment of 1918 on the maps..But I never thought that Russian champs at that time could be hold somewhere else than in Moscow...
Jul-17-05  trumbull0042: Site Unknown probably.
Jul-17-05  Knight13: Man. King's Gambits are always "Nxf7" or "Bxf7+" followed by throwing rocks at that darn king while Black counter attacks. It's dangerous, man.

This game is.... I don't know....

Jul-17-05  hintza: The Allgaier! An old favourite :)
Jul-17-05  ajile: Have you ever noticed that most King's Gambit games go like less than 25 moves? And Black wins as many as White.

lol

Jul-17-05  farrooj: Wow...cool game, like all king gambit games. loved the pun
Jul-17-05  schnarre: Loved White's Queen sack! (Wonder if whoever thought up the pun was a Guns & Roses fan!?!)
Jul-17-05  morphynoman2: Why not 18... Nxe5?
