Feb-16-20		HeMateMe: Superb game. We haven't seen such swagger in recent WC games. What is the 'crime' in the pun, a bad pawn capture somewhere? Strange how whites queen blockaded the position for much of the game.

Feb-16-20		HeMateMe: this pun was used before. In a Fischer-Spassky game I think Fischer takes the 'poisoned pawn' in a Sicilian and loses the game. I thought the software here blocks puns being used twice? I've submitted a couple of things that bounced because someone else had put it in.

Feb-16-20		beatgiant: "Crime and Punishment" is an anagram for "Putinnn shed Crimmea" so maybe some kind of sly reference to the fact that both the players have been in Russian politics? Or am I just suffering from Kremlinology Syndrome?

Jul-18-20		Howard: For the record, the result of this game actually made the front page of the New York Times ! The article had pictures of both Karpov and Kasparov, plus it had diagrams of both where the blunder took place, plus also the final position. The NYT would have been literally the only newspaper in the country that would have provided that kind of coverage !
