Played at the Gladstone Road School in Scarborough, England, 9-20 August 1909. Rest day: Sunday 15 August. Number of games played: 62 (Sergeant forfeited rounds 6-9 due to an eye problem). Henry Ernest Atkins won the event for the 5th time, by defeating Joseph Henry Blake in the British Championship Playoff (1910) in Bradford in January.
