May-21-24  unspiek: Capablanca scored well in this tournament, but he relied on the luck of a tournament winner. If he had managed to negotiate a rematch against Alekhine before about 1934, he'd have had to up his play quite a bit; stuff like he showed here would have got him pounded into the ground.
