May-04-10  Xenon Oxide: Hey, look at the odds in: <Rd 9: Cramling vs Yildiz>!!!

Holy crap, man! The odds are just out of whack.

May-04-10  wordfunph: <CG Bookie> i should have won bigtime in game 8 BUT <loanshark> didn't grant me a loan huhh! life is sometimes unfair..
May-05-10  wordfunph: <loanshark> when are you going to lend me cb?
May-05-10  SloVice: <wordfunph: <loanshark> when are you going to lend me cb?>

Probably about the same time <loanshark> offers me a loan. It's been 16 days now since I was last offered a loan.

May-05-10  wordfunph: <SloVive> there must be something wrong, i regularly place my bets daily but <loanshark> is not making bookie players happy lately..

bookie should be fun but the fun is fading..

calling <CG Bookie>..

May-07-10  Barok Espinosa: I am not used to seeing the big boys here!

Don't worry FIDE Grand Prix is ours!!
We shall overcome...

May-07-10  SloVice: <wordfunph> Hey! I don't know what you did, but thanks! Today I was offered a small(150 cb) loan. I can play again. Only 18 days after my last offer. Although, admittedly, I didn't check yesterday, so it could have been only 17 days.
May-07-10  wordfunph: <SloVice>

i'm starving for loans, <loanshark> may get his $5 a day for $100 if he wants..

calling <CG Bookie> <loanshark>, let me play...give me some monies.

Sneaky: 26:1 to one for just betting the catch-all "other" on World Championship: Game 11: Anand vs Topalov: Opening !! Oh, I'm so dumb, why didn't I get a piece of that? It was so predictable that Anand would switch gears at this stage.
May-09-10  DCP23: *cough* *cough*

Nalchik Women's Grand Prix: Winner

May-09-10  Barok Espinosa: I should have been 20 notches above my present position if the CG Bookie give my cb for winning in Nalchik (Kosintseva, T.)... :o(
May-09-10  wordfunph: me too...i should have been in top three but <loanshark> is not too generous in giving away loans...bad joke! :-0
May-10-10  Graf Zeppelin: <Sneaky: 26:1 to one for just betting the catch-all "other" on World Championship: Game 11: Anand vs Topalov: Opening !! Oh, I'm so dumb, why didn't I get a piece of that? It was so predictable that Anand would switch gears at this stage.>

I also have that in mind. Just get lucky at times...

<World Championship: Game 11: Anand vs Topalov: Opening : OTHER [cash in ticket] 200 YOU WIN! COLLECT 5321 26:1 26.61 5,321 May-09-10>

May-10-10  Barok Espinosa: 25 minutes to Astrakhan and still no sign of my Tatiana... cb payment from Nalchik, I mean.

Most probably, I'll just place my wager here:

Mamedyarov : $200,
Ivanchuk : $100,
Svidler : $60,
Ponomariov : $30... you could pay me here also. ;o)

May-14-10  wordfunph: <CG Bookie> how 'bout covering 2010 U.S. Championship? Round 1 begins tomorrow..
May-15-10  Boomie: <CG Bookie>

My tickets have a 5/14 settlement date. It's now 5/15 your time.

Pay up, chump.

May-15-10  Boomie: <CG Bookie>

It's now 4 hours past the settlement date for the 5/14 tickets. Frankly, if you are not going to follow your own rules, what good is this game? I for one am through with it.

May-15-10  wordfunph: <Boomie> it's the same old story..
May-17-10  malthrope: <ChessBookie> - I have a question?

Is there any particular reason that all bets from Round #7 (May 17th) from the 'FIDE Grand Prix' were <"closed down"> 3 hours ahead (*) of games start (instead of 1 hour ahead as it was previously all setup for)?

Astrakhan Rd 7: Wang Yue vs Mamedyarov

Astrakhan Rd 7: Radjabov vs Jakovenko

Astrakhan Rd 7: Ponomariov vs Gelfand

Astrakhan Rd 7: Leko vs Ivanchuk

Astrakhan Rd 7: Inarkiev vs Eljanov

Astrakhan Rd 7: Gashimov vs Svidler

Astrakhan Rd 7: Alekseev vs Akopian

Just curious?

Regards, - Mal

PS: May-15-10: <wordfunph: <Boomie> it's the same old story..>

It would be really nice to hear an explanation of <"any story">. o_O The way in which the inconsistencies are building up around here are becoming quite discouraging to some of us... :( All IMHO. :)

<(*)> FYI: The round start times at FIDE Grand Prix in Astrakhan begin at 15:00 venue time (the last round probably starts at 13:00). This translates into games starting at 7 AM <CG.com> server time.

May-17-10  bharatiy: <CB> can you have a bet for who will get the spot in the candidates based on current rules and position?
May-18-10  wordfunph: <CB> thank you for bringing back my bread-and-butter PICK 3 whewww!

Chessgames Bookie: <malthrope> No rhyme or reason with those closing times, just a mistake. <bharatiy> A bit late for that proposition. <wordfunph> You're welcome, we'll have pick threes for the rest of the rounds.

SwitchingQuylthulg: <Chessgames Bookie: <bharatiy> A bit late for that proposition.>

Why? It's still completely open.

May-18-10  wordfunph: <Chessgames Bookie: <wordfunph> You're welcome, we'll have pick threes for the rest of the rounds.>

gracias <CB> yahoooo!!! good luck to the front-runners coz i'm coming...this is it!

Chessgames Bookie: <SwitchingQuylthulg> Ok, you are right, but since we already have a wager on the winner of the tournament and there are only a few rounds left in the tournament, I'm going to pass on setting up that proposition.
