Facebook is a popular punching bag, but I have slowly come to learn that <Mark Zukkerborg> is making zero (0) effort to moderate anything posted on the horror groups. I'm certainly not being censored there at any rate. On that topic I do like your idea of a "free speech" forum, and I wish you and colleagues well with that. I want to avoid getting into political wrangles at cg.com because that invariably draws me into internecine squabbles with folks with whom I would prefer to remain on cordial terms. |

Not only that, but Trump has his miracle record to run on. It's not just promises anymore. Trump has a great advantage now in that he can run on his record. How will the liberal media keep Joe from having to debate Trump? What's their plan going to be? They better get working on a No Debate Needed narrative now if they plan to go that route. |

It's not enough to say, "Because they don't like non-lib speech, that's why they ban it. They hate it" but is that the whole truth? If truth, logic, reason and reality were on their side, what would they have to fear from ideas that are untrue, illogical, unreasonable and unrealistic? They could easily engage those ideas and tear them down systematically and consistently, clearly demonstrating that lib ideas are proven to be superior over and over again in countless debates. So why don't they do this? Why resort to censoring non-lib speech? The reason is this: they know that the "forbidden ideas" and "forbidden speech" is powerful! They know that if the public at large were to see that the libs can't defend themselves in the arena of ideas, that people would start to abandon what the left has worked so hard to make mainstream. The libs know that they can't defeat our ideas in the intellectual arena, so what other choice do they have but to silence us? The snake eats its own tail eventually, as truth becomes the "forbidden fruit" and people are drawn to it precisely because it is off limits, but we are not there yet. |
