  offramp: The <Filho> part surely is the equivalent of "Jr" or "Junior" in English. I'd imagine that his Dad was another Oswaldo.

  perfidious: <Nosnibor> Understood-there is a Portuguese phrase which I shall not reproduce here, but which has long been familiar.

The French equivalent would be <fils>, of which one notable example is Alexandre Dumas.
