After some time laglag na sa topten yan.
Aug-20-16  pinoymaster77: During the BOGM / NCC Finals 2016 kada participant may poster, and chess idols ni WIM Frayna eh GM Jayson, his teacher for many years and the other one was either GM Judit Polgar or another male chess great.
Aug-20-16  MCDreamz: Gokusano. Sounds like demonyo. Ugok na sockpuppet ni nanobrain. Panay ang predict pero puro sablay.

Janelle, hija, you know how to reach me. When you're ready to take your talent to the next level, tawagan mo ko.

Pweh! Tuta.
Aug-20-16  MCDreamz: Kung merong puppet in real person, Jayson ang pangalan nyan.
Sige daya pa more. Hwag ka padaya sa impaktang demonya Janelle. Matandang malibog at bastos ka Mcdreamz! LOL!
Aug-20-16  NaunsyamengPangarap: <Epistle:Everyone needs a Tenzing Norgay to reach the summit of success.>

"It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves." ---Pulo Y Gata

On the way down , though, Pulo doesn't any help for he is a "self-made descent" expert.

Aug-20-16  Nina Myers: So Janelle cracked again under the intense pressure.
Aug-20-16  cro777: What can Frayna learn from her loss in the penultimate round against Indian WIM Dharia S Parnali (2203)? "Setbacks and losses are both inevitable and essential if you're going to improve and become a good competitor. The art is in avoiding catastrophic losses in the key battles." (Garry Kasparov)

Evidently, she was not psychologically well prepared for this game after the unexpected loss in the previous game.

The following key moment of the game is worthy of note:

Frayna – Parnali. Position after 25…Qc3

click for larger view

One of the main principles in this type of endgame is that the rook should be posted behind the past pawn. Therefore, the correct move here was 26.Rc1!

26. Rc1 Rxd3 27. Rxc3 Rxd1+ 28. Kg2 Rd7 29. c6 Rc7 30. Rc5 Rd8 31. Ra5 and White cannot lose this endgame.

click for larger view

Instead, Frayna prematurely played 26.c6? allowing her opponent to create tactical threats after 26…Rxd3. Under pressure she missed a simple tactics 29…Rxg3+ losing the game.

Objectively, the top seed Saduakassova is the best player in this competition and her victory in the tournament is expected. With good play in the last round Frayna's presentation in this tournament would be very successful.

Aug-20-16  MCDreams: Janelle, dito lang ako naghihintay sayo. Don't listen to Jayson kabayo and his water boy pinoyhippo77. My elo is higher and my p is longer. Tsaka crush mo ko sabi mo so sakin ka dapat sumama.
Aug-20-16  pinoymaster77: WIM Frayna is 5th and can still have better finish then 2014 stint. A short rest then onto Baku Olympiad probably as TOP board.

She's just 19 and can still return to WJCC next year for final stint.

Take care and enjoy yourself. I'm proud of you.
Aug-21-16  pinoymaster77: Last round of WIM Frayna eh draw, ganun din most of the top boards, she finishes 5th, highest finish of a Pinay as far as I can recall on WJCC participation. Congratulations ! Champion is top seeded WGM Dinara

Aug-21-16  Virgil A: Gallant effort shown by WIM Frayna to earn 5th place. She will go on and earn more success. Congratulations to Frayna!
Aug-21-16  cro777: Frayna should be praised for her presentation at the World Junior Championship. She proved her talent in the games against the rating favorites of this tournament.

She missed clear win in the last round but this occurred to the top seed as well who could have lost practically won championship title.

"It was clear that nerves were playing a huge role in deciding the winner. Kazakh WGM Dinara Saduakassova was convinced that her game could end in nothing more but a draw, but it turned out that she had a winning position towards the very end after a mistake by her opponent Uurtsaikh Uuriintuya of Mongolia. Surprisingly, Saduakassova missed her chance and the game ended in a draw. It was only after it ended that she realized to her horror that she had just given away the game!

In the second board, WIM Dinara Dordzhieva of Russia was a pawn up against Indian WIM Parnali Dharia. Things could have got messy had Dordzhieva won, as she may have ended up winning the tournament. However, Parnali held the Russian with some accurate calculations, thus allowing Dinara Saduakassova to become the World Junior Champion in the girls’ section." (Official site)

Aug-21-16  pinoymaster77: WIM Janelle Mae Frayna's FB post shows her character and inner peace, so far may > 300 likes and > 30 positive comments ! She has inspired Filipino youth following in their footsteps, na kaya pala ng Filipino, dedication hard work and time management ang kelangan :

"Janelle Mae Frayna

.. 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have ran a good race, I have kept the faith".

All I can say is just a big thanks to you guys who have supported me until the end of this tournament. I failed to sustain the lead and eventually dropped to 5th place but this event really had a great impact on my chess career. Somehow pressure creeps in and there's nothing and no one to be blamed but myself. Let's look on the brighter side and I sincerely hope that in years to come a Filipino will eventually take the crown.

Congratulations to all the winners!"

Aug-22-16  Pulo y Gata: Congratulations, too, Janelle! You fought a good fight and you did your country proud.
Aug-22-16  epistle: Actually, if not for the <F>aith, she would have been the Rayna of this tournament. So next time, fight the good fight, run a good race, but do not keep the faith! It was a scintillating run and a magnificent performance! The country owes you and Master B2. Hope you two can go out sometime for a movie or something.
Aug-22-16  geniokov: Congratulations Janelle!Hope you get the WGM title in the near future!

Keep the faith my love.

Aug-25-16  pinoymaster77: Sa radio news and newspaper articles eh may bagong FIDE rule pala na dapat 4 WGMs makaharap, eh kulang ng 1 WGM played sa recent WJCC kay narrowly missed out on another WGM norm.

Sa Baku eh being in the top board eh malamang makalaro more WGMs.

More intensive exposures planned by next year, tapusin muna studies
