| Dec-07-03 | | van haaften: I am interested in the life of Jacob Yuchtman. In december 1998 Chess Life had an article on him by Shamkovich and Khodarkovsky containing a promise for more (even a book). Has this promise been fulfilled, does there indeed exist a book today on Yuchtman?
Can anybody tell me more about his life? |

 | | jaime gallegos: Jakob Yuchtman was born in Voronezh 400 km southward of Moscow in central Russia in 1935, their parents were jewish and the father died on WWII fighting against the germans. Then his family moved to Uzbekishtan and being a yound he developed a great career as a chessplayer.
