Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-16-12  whiteshark: Bernd Schneider, born on the 10th of April 1965, is an IM.

Wiki-Bio: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernd_...(Schachspieler)

Jan-16-12  whiteshark: The other part in the bio "Bernd Schneider, born on the 1st of November 1960, is a FIDE Master." is plain wrong and should be deleted.

Stonehenge: I don't know who deleted that but I have put it back. It's plain right :)
Jan-17-12  whiteshark: <Stonehenge> You are right. But <FIDE Master Bernd Schneider, born on the 1st of November 1960> is a different player and therefore should get a separate player's page.

Have you identified games that belong to FM Schneider?

Stonehenge: No, the problem is other databases also make mistakes. Even highly praised NicBase is full of mistakes. The only way is looking at the ratings. I will have a look later on.

Stonehenge: On second thoughts, I'm not going to bother. Already the first game I looked at is suspicious: B Schneider vs W Kraft, 2000. Rating 1985? FM Schneider was 2220+ in 2000, IM Schneider was 2430+ in 2000. Whatever.
Jan-17-12  whiteshark: <Stonehenge> Just just spotted the 3rd player of that name according to DWZ-Database:

FM Bernd Schneider: http://www.schachbund.de/dwz/db/spi...

IM Bernd Schneider: http://www.schachbund.de/dwz/db/spi...
