Kibitzer's Corner
May-08-04  ruylopez900: Does anyone know if Ruy Lopez still plays? (obviously I'm referring to this program and not the spanish priest, before anyone makes a remark about that).
May-08-04  Lawrence: <ruy>, the dirty rat beat my beloved Junior at the championships last year and hardly anybody else. If it hadn't been for that loss, Junior would have come in first.
May-08-04  ruylopez900: <Lawrence> I know =D But I would have gladly had my namesake lose to Junior and won a few more... oh well
Jul-09-04  Alvaro: Hi, this is the "dirty rat"'s programmer. We are not participating in any championships this year. We received some severe beating in Graz'2003 (won agains Junior on the first round, lost every game after that), so we decided we had a lot of work to do before we make another public appearance. But we are working hard and hopefully we'll have a decent program by next year.
Jul-09-04  Lawrence: Hi <Alvaro>, welcome to chessgames. Sorry about that comment, needless to say I was only joking (calling a program a "dirty rat.") Good luck with "Ruy Lopez." I'll bet your adrenalin jumped when you beat Junior.
Oct-15-04  Knight13: He he. Ruy Lopez plays Ruy Lopez. What the heck.
Jun-27-07  argishti: ya, probably they programmed this machine just to play that line. honestly...thats such an amazing idea. make a machine for a specific opening, and get these machines together, and make the best machine ever!!
