Jun-04-09  pulsar: Sino pa eh di si GM Utot Adianto!

Here's why:

:D

Jun-04-09  pulsar: <spawn2> Pasensiya na, bro. Napadami kain ko ng kornik, hehe.
Jun-04-09  spawn2: pulsar,

ok lang bro, hindi ko nahulaan although nabasa ko na rin yan sa chessbase before kala ko related sa surname hehehe. Dapat idagdag mo yung isa pa nilang kamag-anak na politician, si Jenny Mayor hahaha

Aug-19-09  wordfunph: I think NM Manny Senador comes from Iloilo...the place of La Paz batchoy wahhhh manamit gid ya!
Aug-25-09  kramrich: he's gunning for a GM norm in dato arthur malaysia...doing well so far...
Aug-25-09  spawn2: kramrich,

am hoping that he will make it. matagal na ring naglalaro si Senador at sana makamit nya ang minimithi nyang gm norm. Sa nabasa ko, especialty nya ang Smith Morra Gambit.

Aug-25-09  spawn2: guys,

one incident I remember with NM Senador was around 7 years ago. There was a rapid team competition in Malate where we participated. My team (di ako naglaro, miron lang) was battling his team. May problem dun sa game sa board two wherein their player claimed a draw although there was a lot of materials left(he was down to two minutes if I remember correctly). The arbiter intervened and the game was awarded to us. After the decision has been given, we continued to argue and medyo napalakas yata. Nagalit si NM dahil naglalaro pa sila at time trouble din sya, to add insult to the injury, na-flag down si NM Senador. If only looks could kill..hindi ko na siguro narelate ngayon itong story na to hehehe

hehe..nice story bro spawn2 thanks.

Aug-27-09  pulsar: With an average opponents' rating of 2434 so far after seven rounds, Senador could also get a GM norm in DATMO 2009 if he scores at least 6.5 points, based on chessph's computation. He now has 5.5 points after seven rounds...
Aug-27-09  jpcsacristan: wow, senador leading the DATMO '09, goodluck to you and to GM Darwin, go for the championship title, galing talaga ng pinoy
Aug-27-09  pinoymaster77: Great tournament for Senado in the DATMO. Go for that official GM title.

Sigurado suportahan ka ng NCFP to more intl tournament for more norms!

May indications na sa Subic na tumitibay na laro niya, this time may homestretch finish na!

Aug-27-09  pulsar: Senador for President!

(Sorry, can't resist.)

Good morning! Go, Emmanuel!

Aug-27-09  pinoymaster77: Good am from DATMO blog site :

Emmanuel Senador leads going into final round
The fight to be 2009 Malaysian Open championship has been so intense that the tournament leader have changed 3 times going into today’s final round.

After 8 rounds, Emmanuel Senador is the surprise leader after he beat higher rated Yu Yangyi of China on board 1. Playing on the black side of the Sicilian, Senador successfully thwarted Yu Yangyi’s fierce attack against his king. After several exchanges, the endgame favoured Emmanuel and the win was never in doubt.

Senador will be meeting GM Negi Parimarjan who produced a fantastic save in his previous round against GM Ghaem Maghami Ehsan where Negi successfully built a fortress using his pawn and rook vs Ehsan’s Queen.

Senador is just ahead of the other leaders of the pack by half a point so the championship is still open to anybody.

Today’s final round will be the decider who will be the champion.

Aug-27-09  pinoymaster77: spawn2, nice sharing.

Engr ata si NM Senador, used to read he was part of MWSS teams before, or was it NM Maga?

Aug-27-09  pinoymaster77: From chessheroes blog :

DATMO 2009: Emmanuel Senador currently on top
First thing first, please allow me to make a bit of correction. I earlier stated that Chinese player, Xie Deshun is the one who had a performance rating of nearly 2800 in his first 10 or 12 games in the last edition of Subic International Chess Championship. But it is actually Yu Yangyi, the 15 year old prodigy from China where Emmanuel Senador defeated in the 8th round to take the solo lead in the ongoing DATMO 2009.

According to the DATMO.net website, Senador, handling the black piece, "... successfully thwarted Yu Yangyi’s fierce attack against his king. After several exchanges, the endgame favoured Emmanuel and the win was never in doubt (That's usually what happens in most chess games I should say :).

GM Darwin Laylo on the other hand settled for a draw against Vietnamese GM Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son and IM Ronald Dableo upset GM Ziaur Raman to secure their place just half a point behind Senador with 6.0 points with eight others. Emmanuel Senador will be pitted against another prodigy, 16 year old GM Parimarjan Negi of India, the second youngest GM ever behind Sergey Karjakin. Darwin Laylo on the other hand will have 2nd Subic International championship title holder, GM Ehsan Ghaem Maghami of Iran in the 9th round while Dableo will tackle on Indonesia's no.1, GM Susanto Megaranto.

Aug-28-09  Pinoychess: CONGRATS IM Senador for nailing a GM-Norm on the ongoing DATMO chess tournament in Malaysia...

http://pinoychess.informe.com/porta...

Aug-28-09  spawn2: <pinoychess>

Is this the first gm norm for IM Senador? He can try to get another one in PGMA Cup this Sept. Thanks!

Aug-29-09  pinoymaster77: Congratulations on your best ever DATMO stint, and nailing that 1st GM norm!

A late bloomer, but better late than never! No age limit in chess.

May this inspire our many Phils NM, there are still many talented veteran players out there, your contemporaries!

Aug-31-09  pinoymaster77: Wish you all the best in your next intl tournaments, probably we will see you again in the GMA and Pichay Cups for the continued quest for those GM norms!
Sep-11-09  spawn2: guys,
