James Fred Sawin, born Natick, MA USA; died Boston, MA USA.

Obituary
James Fred Sawin, who in his college days at Yale, 35 years ago, was famed as an international chess player, died this morning shortly after 7 o'clock, at the Massachusetts General Hospital from the effects of a heart attack he suffered a short time ago. He had not been in good health for the last two years. (1)
