RAYMOND SONG

Grandmaster. Song came fourth in the World U10 Junior World Championship in Heraklio in 2004 after Yu Yangyi, Jules Moussard and Yifan Hou. In the December 2006 Australian Chess Federation ratings, Song was the top rated player in the U12, U14, U16 and U18 divisions and fourth in the U20 division. He is the brother of Angela Song.

  Jonathan Sarfati: Has this gifted youngster retired from chess already? His sister Angela Song is probably the only girl to have won the Aussie Junior. FWIW, I was at the same school as his dad and we apparently played on the same school chess team.

  Jonathan Sarfati: Evidently not, because he got a GM Norm in the Doerbel Cup and is leading the Sydney International Open with 4/4/. He is playing about 300 points above his FIDE rating.
